What is the Energy Performance Certificate?

The Energy Performance Certificate is a requirement which is based on the rules and regulations of the Energy Performance of Building Directive (EPBD). The Energy Performance of Building Directive (EPBD) legislation was introduced to find out how energy efficient properties are becoming in the United Kingdom.

The certificate offers rating of the energy efficiency and CO2 emissions. The scale of A to G is used to measure where A is very efficient and G is very inefficient.
